"I do not usually post comments or ratings concerning the businesses I deal with. I get so many requests I cannot possibly respond to them all, so I found myself posting mostly when I had a bad experience. I didn’t feel that was fair for everyone who served my needs with care and professionalism. I am making an exception for Jim May of I.V. Tree & Shrub Care. Jim is better than just a “5 Star” rating would indicate. He follows the “Golden Rule”. He treats his customers the way he would have others treat himself - with personalized care, respect and a very high level of expertise."

"We initially thought that our hemlocks were going to have to be removed, based on some input from other companies. However, before making this move, we asked around and found that Jim was the person we needed to talk with. Jim came by our house to discuss the work, and it was obvious that he knows his subject matter, whether it's trees, shrubs, or other types of plan and their diseases. Jim recommended a process that did not involve removing the trees. He completed the project in a very timely fashion, and the trees are making a good recovery. While working on this project, we also asked Jim about pruning our redbud trees. He did a superb job of taking care of our redbuds. Jim is personable and easy to talk with, gets his projects done in a timely fashion, and does an outstanding job of explaining his approach to projects. We highly recommend him."
